Mold Makers

John Wright Clear Toy Candy Mold

The Candy Molds

In the 1980's & 1990's John Wright produced a series of cast iron clear toy candy molds. They were modern designs and can easily still be found on the secondhand market today. The molds are of Christmas tree, teddy bears, wreaths, snowmen, Santa, angels and other. They do not have the fine details like that antique molds but they work well.  They are coasted with a Teflon like surface.

History

John Wright began in 1947 and started to manufacture souvenirs and gifts on the banks of the Susquehanna River in Wrightsville, Pennsylvania. In the 1960s, through mergers and acquisitions, we acquired the complete product line of the Wrightsville Hardware Company, dating back to 1880.
